Palms Sports Information Technology System

In September 2013 I had an opportunity to work in the Palms Sports software used to manage all operation's information. I worked in the data base updating process and final details feedbacks. It gaves me the opportunity to have an overview of the company in terms of numbers and quality standards.

Palms Sports Kids National 2013 Referee

At the beggining of 2013 after several regional trials we had the National Kids School Tournament where all kids qualified had the opportunity to fight for gold at Al Jazira Club. It was an amazing experience to participate as a referee.

Palms Sports National Clubs Program

Originally the Clubs Project started in the Football Clubs facilities and I was privileged to work on it as a Palms Sports Operational Coordenator from October 2012 till sept 2013.
It was a great opportunity to understand better the project. To understand about the football clubs and all stakeholders involved in the operation. We had to work combine with the footbal clubs, UAE Jiu-jitsu Federation and Palms Sports Coaches.

Palms Sports High Elite Program

First semester 2013 I had the experience to work in the High Elite School Program. Which is a program focused on developing kids and teens potential as an athlete. 25 students were chosen from Abu Dhabi Public Schools Strategical Regions to participate. They were selected to participate in a 4 times a week competition classes. I have been chosen to teach in Al Ghazali Model School.

Palms Sports School Jiu-jitsu Program

One of HH Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan ambitious Jiu-jitsu Project is called "School Jiu-jitsu Project". In fact, is the oldest Jiu-jitsu project among the other ones (Military JJ Project and Clubs JJ Project).
One of the Programs supported by School JJ Project has the goal of teaching jiu-jitsu to national kids in public school regular curriculum.
From may to sept 2012 I worked in 3 different schools in this program (JJ as part of the regular curriculum in public schools). From sept 2012 to sept 2013 I worked in other 2 different schools. All of them in Abu Dhabi.

Palms Sports Headquarter Experience

My first assignment was to help operationally the Palms Sports Head Quarter staff. I remember that all staff were extremely busy due to WPJJC 2012 preparation, School JJ Trials/Regionals/National, PS management and PS new projects development. I worked reporting directly to Project Manager. I requested to work on the operation as I knew that would be a very smart decision even though management and strategical part of the business attract me.

Palms Sports LLC

At the beginning of December 2011 I received a call from Palms Sports offering me an opportunity as a Jiu-jitsu Coach. At that time I was working in SITA (airline multinational company), World Black Belt Center (Martial Art Center) and Art of Power (Martial Art Center).
Even though the package Palms Sports offered me wasn't that attractive comparing to the situation I had I decided to move forward and work to make it happen. And the main reason was based in the opportunity I had to learn from the biggest education project in Jiu-jitsu on earth. So, the first thing I did was to schedule a meeting with my line manager from SITA (my main sponsor) and explain the situation. She understood and encourage me to invest on it. Then my dismissal had been set to January 1st 2012. In December 2011 I left to Brazil to take my annual leave and once I came back I started working in Palms Sports. Officially on February 15th, 2012.

SITA Experience

This blog use to be a way to express my life experience and it had been interrupted in July 2011 due to the intensity I had put in my work since today. Starting at the beginning of July 2011 at SITA company I had an amazing coorporative experience. SITA is an airline industry company focus in communication founded in 1941 by the top 10 airlines from that time.
Learned so much about internal and external communication in a big multinational business. Also about communication system in retail stores in airports among other skills and knowledges.
